Well, I almost feel like a normal person today! I now have a bathroom with a functioning toilet, shower, and sink! Not only that, but it's really starting to look like a place I'd want to spend some time in!
Last time you saw the space, it was in this condition. . .
Our next step was to lay the flooring. We chose an unfinished teak because of it's ability to stand up to moisture. We haven't got there yet, but eventually the teak will extend all the way into the shower creating a seamless look. Tim will build it so that when a stressful day calls for a soak in the tub, I'll be able to lift the teak panel and lean it against the wall, revealing the gorgeous poured concrete tub!
I stained the teak with a walnut color to get rid of the gold tones. The blue of the wall and the gold of the floor was way too primary for me. I love the rich look of the darker floor. Here are a few shots of the finished look. . .
We still have a number of things left, but we are making major progress! Stay tuned, the vanity makeover is the next bathroom project we'll reveal! :)
