The Best of 2012

Happy Monday!  Today I'm doing a little recap of the past year.  Maybe you missed a few posts or maybe you just want to take a little walk down memory lane with me! :)

DIY Fast and Fantastic Feature Wall- This is the feature wall I created in a couple of hours for a photo shoot.  Check out the post to see the unconventional material it's made with.

The Preslar Music School Makeover had a ton of DIY projects including: a chevron fireplace, gold lampshades, a glowing drum coffee table, and a painted rug.  Check out the link to see how the whole space came together and to get links to all the projects.

I created this DIY Customizable Art with peg board, colored pencils, and rubber bands.  I love that kids and adults can customize this piece whenever a creative whim hits.

This office needed to do double duty with a new baby in the house. So we gave the space a total overhaul and created a Bright and Colorful Office/Playroom Combo.

Sometimes the smallest nook or cranny can be turned into a functional and fun retreat.  Check out this Closet Turned Recording Studio I did for a music loving client.

My love for the fish scale pattern continues to grow! For this project, I put the pattern on a light. Check out the DIY Fishscale Light on Design Sponge.

Like I said, the fish scale pattern is a fav of mine.  I tried to find some affordable tile in the pattern, but when none was available, I decided to make my own.  Here's the tutorial for the DIY Fish Scale Tile.

The DIY Ardex Concrete Countertops have been my most popular DIY project ever.  I can see why! We love this product and all it can do!

Another popular project was the DIY West Elm Moroccan Headboard.  You won't believe how easy it is to recreate this look with a very unexpected product.

This DIY Sliding Metal Door is not what it seems.  Some amazing metal paint turned an unimpressive material into a piece that looks completely authentic.

These DIY Crystals were a personal favorite this year.  I love when I can create something that catches both men's and women's attention. :)
