I have one more project idea to cover before I fully reveal this cheery office/playroom. Today I am covering an easy way to create a rotating art display! We were down to the nitty gritty with the budget on this project, but I still had open wall space that I wanted to fill with some fun kid"ish" art. My solution involved 6 clipboards and a clearance book from Anthropologie.

The book was kind of goofy, but fun. And at $2.95 I couldn't pass it up!

After my art was chosen and cut out of the book, I clipped it on each board which was hung from a screw. I flanked the window with three clipboards on each side.

What I love about this idea is how easy the art can be interchanged. I imagine the little boy in this home will create many masterpieces that will be proudly displayed on the clip boards. I could also see Mom clipping up favorite family photos.
So for about $10 we have a easily interchangeable art display space!
Stop back in tomorrow to see the space in its entirety!

Loving what can be seen of this space already. Can't wait to see it all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dana! It was a fun project to work on. Best of all, the little boy who lives there loves his new playroom! I love seeing children respond to design, it proves to me that good design does make a difference. :) PS- I recently tried an abstract painting. . . it didn't go so well! Ha Ha It's much harder than it looks! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! That book is pretty awesome and for a steal!
ReplyDeletethis room is one of all-time favorite Kara spaces! So many great ideas. I can't wait to see it all together.
